Session will Present Device Agnostic Identity-Based Model for Securing Apps and Data
WHO: Matthew Carter, Senior Systems Engineer for Symplified. Carter is an expert in identity and access management, identity federation and authentication. He has held senior level technical positions with Oracle, BEA, Netegrity, and the U.S. Air Force. Carter holds an M.S. in Engineering from Northeastern University and a B.S. in Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy.
WHAT: Executives, sales professionals and remote workers are using personal laptops, tablets and smartphones for anytime/anywhere access to company applications and data. This rise in BYOD juxtaposed with the proliferation of public and private cloud applications within the enterprise is creating unprecedented security challenges for IT. In this session entitled “Enterprise Insecurity: Personal Mobile Devices Collide with the Cloud,” Carter will discuss the hurdles that must be overcome to enforce security policies on IT resources accessed from personal devices.
