Symplified CEO to Discuss Cloud Security Challenges at the TTI/Vanguard Conference
WHO: Eric Olden, founder and CEO of Symplified. Mr. Olden is an expert in identity and access management and holds US Patent #6,460,141 for his pioneering designs for Web identity. Before Symplified, Mr. Olden was co-founder and CTO of pioneering web access management vendor Securant Technologies. He was the architect behind the ClearTrust product, until its acquisition by RSA Security.
WHAT: As organizations deploy multiple software as a service (SaaS) applications, security, integration, and compliance challenges quickly scale in complexity and increase risk. According to industry reports, 62 percent of enterprises use more than one SaaS application today and this adoption rate is accelerating in the current economic downturn. As a result, IT departments are being forced to extend security mechanisms beyond the firewall in an effort to implement a new security model that can enforce access policies and meet regulatory compliance requirements. Mr. Olden will cover the underlying challenges and pitfalls associated with deploying cloud-native controls and audit capabilities. He will also present a new approach that weaves identity and access management directly into the fabric of the cloud to address these issues.
WHERE: Omni San Diego Hotel, 675 L Street, San Diego, CA 92101
WHEN: Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 2:30 PM.
