Arrow ECS Adds IAM, SSO Management Platform from Symplified in North America
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (Sept. 26, 2011) – Adding to its cloud security offerings in North America, Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, a business segment of Arrow Electronics Inc. [NYSE: ARW], today announced it has added an identity, access and single sign-on management platform from Symplified to its portfolio.
This platform enables solution providers and their customers to access secure portals for internal and external users operating independently or with existing IAM/SSO infrastructures. Further, the platform extends and enforces access security policies on both public and private clouds.
“Arrow ECS’ IAM/SSO platform complements our existing portfolio that includes cloud security assessments, security information and event management, email and web defense, and vulnerability testing, among others,” said Lee Fawcett, vice president of the North American Fusion professional services program for Arrow ECS. “Arrow ECS is pleased to add Symplified as a cloud solution that helps customers better secure access to their applications while helping solution providers build a profitable cloud business through recurring revenue.”
Arrow ECS’ IAM/SSO platform also provides auditing and reporting capabilities to help organizations comply with regulatory mandates and monitor user activity. Arrow will offer Symplified Mobile Edition™ for organizations looking to deploy enterprise IAM/SSO services to their remote workforce and external users such as customers and business partners.
“Arrow ECS is one of the industry’s leading IT distributors, serving the technology needs of both solution providers and systems integrators from coast to coast,” said Mike Corbisiero, vice president of worldwide sales for Symplified. “This alliance allows us to deliver the Symplified Suite and Symplified Mobile Edition to an even greater segment of organizations that require identity- and access-management capabilities to secure their public and private cloud applications.”
In addition to security-as-a-service, Arrow ECS also offers IT-as-a-service, infrastructure-as-a-service, software-as-a-service and business continuity and disaster recovery services through its North American Fusion program. These Arrow cloud services are powered by leading providers such as IBM, Terremark, and NetEnrich among others.
