Security Innovation Network Announces 2011 SINET 16 Innovators to Present at SINET Showcase, October 26th in D.C.
Over 100 applicants participate in the search for today's most innovative and potentially disruptive cybersecurity technologies
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct 06, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The Security Innovation Network(TM) (SINET), an organization focused on the advancement of cybersecurity innovation through public-private collaboration, today announced the 2011 SINET 16 Innovators who will present at the SINET Showcase on October 26, 2011 at the National Press Club, Washington D.C.
The SINET Showcase is supported by the Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate and was created to identify and display sixteen innovative and potentially disruptive cybersecurity technologies in front of an audience of buyers and influencers from the investment, research, commercial, civilian, defense and intelligence communities.
More than 100 emerging technology companies applied and were carefully vetted in a two-stage process by the SINET Showcase Steering Committee comprised of leaders from the government, industry, investment and academia communities ( http://www.security-innovation.org/steering.htm ). The committee worked with federal agencies and private industry to identify their most critical needs and requirements, criteria that were used to help evaluate applicants.
