Symplified Appoints Ralph Hubregsen Vice President of Global Channels
Provider of Trust Fabric for the Cloud Hires Proven Executive to Build Worldwide Channel Program and Meet International Demand
BOULDER, Colo., Feb. 22, 2011 –Symplified®, the Cloud security company, today announced that it has appointed Ralph Hubregsen as vice president of global channels. In this newly created role, Hubregsen will be responsible for expanding Symplified’s existing ecosystem of partners and resellers worldwide. After increasing revenue 700 percent year over year in 2010 and surpassing one million licensed users for its cloud identity and access management suite, Symplified tapped Hubregsen to establish channel partnerships in order to meet high volume demand in North America and abroad.
Hubregsen will focus on growing Symplified’s existing ecosystem of partners, building domestic and international reseller programs, and managing channel sales worldwide for the company’s comprehensive cloud identity and access management suite. Symplified provides next generation single sign-on, access control and user management for public and private cloud resources in one fully integrated platform. It is the only identity management-as-a-service solution that can be deployed in the public cloud via the Symplified Trust Cloud which is hosted on Amazon EC2 and/or in private clouds using the Symplified Identity Router managed appliance.
“According to IDC, cloud spending will increase by 30 percent in 2011, which is five times the growth of the rest of the industry. However, enterprises will require security capabilities for cloud applications that are on par with controls in their data centers,” said Eric Olden founder and CEO of Symplified. “This is creating explosive global demand we cannot meet without the support of the channel. Ralph Hubregsen has built very successful channel programs on a global scale for several companies over the years. He has the experience, know-how and relationships to create a world-class channel organization for Symplified, and is a great addition to our management team.”
Hubregsen joins Symplified from Venado Technologies a provider of software and services for large enterprise, government, and healthcare organizations, where he was vice present of sales. Previously, he was vice president of sales and channels at MonoSphere, a provider of enterprise storage management tools which was acquired by Quest Software. At MonoSphere, Hubregsen developed and managed a multi-tiered channel program that shifted sales from 100% direct to 70% channel. As founder and president of systems integration firm Saillant Consulting Group, LLC, Hubregsen built the company from zero into the top partner in the western U.S. for EMC/Documentum. Hubregsen has also held executive channel and sales positions with systems integrators Peak Technologies Group, and Innovative Products and Peripherals. He holds an MBA from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business, and a BA from Saint Michael’s College.
“These are exciting times to be in the cloud security market, with worldwide growth really beginning to take off,” said Ralph Hubregsen. “Symplified has built the most complete and advanced cloud security solution on the market, which is several years ahead of the competition. We have the opportunity to capture a big chunk of this market over the next few years and build a very large company. I’m glad to be part of this team.”
