BOULDER, Colo., March 9, 2010 – Symplified, the Cloud Security Company, today announced that it has been named an OnDemand Top 100 private company for 2010 by AlwaysOn. The inaugural OnDemand Top 100 list recognizes companies that have developed game-changing approaches and technologies that are likely to disrupt existing markets and entrenched players. Symplified will be honored at AlwaysOn’s OnDemand event on April 19th, 2010, at Hewlett-Packard’s Worldwide Headquarters in Palo Alto, CA.
“Being named an OnDemand Top 100 company is an honor, and validates Symplified’s business and technology approach for providing the missing link in cloud computing – a trust mechanism that bridges enterprise security policies and administration with cloud services,” said Eric Olden, founder and CEO of Symplified. “Cloud computing is shaking the foundations of how IT departments traditionally manage their resources, but Symplified enables organizations to maintain control and extend their security policies to applications and data they reside outside their datacenters.”
The OnDemand 100 winners were selected from among hundreds of technology companies nominated by investors, bankers, journalists, and industry insiders. The AlwaysOn editorial team conducted a rigorous three-month selection process to finalize the 2010 list. Symplified was specially selected by the AlwaysOn editorial team and industry experts spanning the globe based on a set of five criteria: innovation, market potential, commercialization, stakeholder value, and media buzz. A full list of all the OnDemand Top 100 winners can be found on the AlwaysOn website at: http://alwayson.goingon.com/permalink/post/34759 |

Symplified has pioneered a cloud service, called SinglePoint, that provides a cloud-native unified identity and access management platform that allows companies to extend and enforce IT security policies for access control, authentication, administration/provisioning of users, and auditing, to cloud applications. Available either as an on-premises or completely hosted solution, SinglePoint leverages a proven proxy architecture that can be activated with a simple network configuration. It does not require the installation of any agents or integration of complex software. Users can sign-on once and through SinglePoint are provided secure access to all the cloud applications they are authorized to use. SinglePoint grants and denies access to applications and resources based on a user’s role and policies created by the organization and residing on its IT systems and provides deep auditing capabilities. It can manage access to both cloud and “behind the firewall” applications.
AlwaysOn’s OnDemand is a two-and-a-half-day executive event features CEO presentations and high-level debates on how the Internet is disrupting how companies—from small businesses to large enterprises—create, store, distribute, analyze, and take advantage of their mission-critical data. |
